Just before he took Mahasamadhi, Swami Muktananda, gave a series of final messages to his disciples in the East and the West. The following is one of the most important messages he delivered to us. It also appears in his book Bhagawan Nityananda of Ganeshpuri.
We affirm and uphold this message given by Baba. We follow it and we encourage all those who served Baba, those who serve the successors to his foundation, and those who tread this great path of the Siddhas, of which Bhagawan Nityananda is the Master, to uphold it and follow it also.
I consider you all sisters and brothers in the family of my Nityananda Baba. You are all pure souls. You were born pure. Your perfection is already with you. Each of you is a flame of that pure Self. Being of the family of Nityananda like me, you have joined me to do his work. You are me and I am you.
Do not get involved in "mine and thine," "this is small and this is big," "this is yours and this is mine." Do not create such divisions. Keep working without ego or pride. If the feeling of "mine and thine," "small and big," arises in you, and the desire to raise someone up and bring another down, then you can be sure that you are falling.

Acharya Kedar received Shaktipat (the spiritual awakening of the Siddhas) from Sadguru Swami Muktananda. Muktananda then guided his early sadhana. Much of their relationship was an inner relationship that began when Acharyaji installed Gurudev in his heart, as instructed by Baba. As Acharyaji spent time in Baba's physical company, their inner relationship blossomed in much the same way as it had for Muktananda Baba, after he received Shaktipat from Bhagawan Nityananda.
In the summer of 1981, Swami Muktananda gave many meditation intensives. At the end of one particular intensive, as he was leaving the hall, he gave Acharyaji a final command and then instructed Acharya Kedar to take his own Guru, Bhagawan Nityananda as his Guru and to meditate on and follow the inner guidance of Bhagawan Nityananda. After Swami Muktananda took Mahasamadhi, Acharyaji continued to serve his two successors for many years and acknowledges the Grace of Gurumayi Chidvilasananda in his life during those years.
In 1998, Acharya Kedar took up Bhagawan Nityananda's command to do this work. In this way, Acharyaji is following his Guru's command with his Guru's Blessing and the Blessings of the Siddhas. This blessing is evident in the experiences of those who attend programs here and follow Acharyaji's instruction. This is spoken about in greater detail in Vibration of Divine Consciousness.
