The Supreme Meditation Ashram is a small ashram situated in a private Cul de Sac on what used to be a sacred American Indian abode. The land the ashram resides on was purchased from Chief Waramaug of the Weantinock Indians in 1703, by a group of settlers from Milford, CT. The ashram is situated in an area that was used for "sweats" (sacred ceremonies of meditation and healing) by generations of the Pootatuck and Weantinock tribes. We are located on the western border of Connecticut in the beautiful Housatonic Valley.
Supreme Meditation Ashram is located just off of route 7 between the Windmill Diner, Webster Bank and Northeast Carpet. We are the turn located between New Milford Animal Hospital and 278 Danbury Plaza.

Driving From New York City and Points South:
Take the New York State Thruway (Route 87) North to Route 287 East. Take the Route 287 exit and head east on Rt. 287 to the exit for Route 684 North. Take the Rt. 684 exit and head north on Rt. 684 (you will be on this road for a while). Take Exit 9E, the Route 84 exit, heading East. Go East on Route 84 to Exit 7 for New Milford (Route 7 North). Take Route 7 North to Exit 12. Make a right at the light and get on Route 7/202. Stay on this road for several miles until you pass New Milford High School on your left. Look for the stop light at Northeast Carpet, which will be on your left. Webster Bank will be on your right. Pass this light. The next left turn at New Milford Animal Hospital is Sega Drive (John Deere-Husqvarna Equipment store will be on your right). Make a left on to Sega Drive. This road is a Cul de Sac. After making a left on to Sega drive, make your first right turn by the green house (number 57) and proceed around the crescent to 21 Sega Drive. Park anywhere in front of the ashram or in the rear parking area off the ashram driveway.

Take the Metro North New Haven Line train to Danbury station. We offer a shuttle service from the Bonanza Bus Terminal on 48 Elm Street, just off of Main Street in Danbury. (This is a short walk or bus ride from the train station.) The roundtrip fare is $13. You must contact the ashram in advance to make a reservation.
