ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION
Supreme Meditation Ashram
21 Sega Drive
New Milford, CT 06776

The Supreme Meditation Ashram is a meditation school (Gurukula). The word "ashram" means place of retreat or rest and learning. The Supreme Meditation Ashram is a small ashram situated in a private Cul de Sac on what used to be a sacred American Indian abode. The land the ashram resides on was purchased from Chief Waramaug of the Weantinock Indians in 1703, by a group of settlers from Milford, CT. The ashram is situated in an area that was used for "sweats" (sacred ceremonies of meditation and healing) by generations of the Pootatuck and Weantinock tribes. We are located on the western border of Connecticut in the beautiful Housatonic Valley.
The Ashram is easily accessible by car and public transportation. We are conveniently located 30 minutes from the Carmel/Patterson New York border and 15 minutes from Danbury, CT. The ashram is situated in the middle of Brookfield, Washington, Kent, Warren, Sherman, Bridgewater and Roxbury. We are a 90-minute drive from Manhattan.
We are a not-for-profit charitable organization that currently serves communities in the tri-state area (NY-NJ-CT). Our purpose is to offer people of all cultures and races programs in Yoga Science and Holistic Well-Being, through public programs, retreats, seminars and workshops that are designed to help them understand and embrace their own Divinity inside, through spiritual practice.
We currently offer programs in the tri-state area and other communities across America. This organization and path has been established to fulfill the Supreme Meditation vision. |
