Acharya Kedar
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
OF SUPREME MEDITATION

Shri Acharya Kedar is recognized by his students and followers of other great sages (like Bhagawan Nityananda of Ganeshpuri) as being a Siddhacharya, a perfected master of the yoga of the Absolute, whose experience of the Ultimate Reality, the Heart of God, is uninterrupted.

Our lineage originates from the Guru of the Siddhas, Paramshiva (Lord Shiva). In our modern times, the full power and Grace of this Shiva lineage was revealed and bestowed by Shri Bhagawan Nityananda of Ganeshpuri. Acharya Kedar is a Siddha in the lineage of
Bhagawan Nityananda of Ganeshpuri. He received Shaktipat initiation from Paramahamsa Muktananda in 1979 and became his disciple. He served his Master until his Gurudev left his body in 1982. His discipleship continued to be tested through his many years of service to his Guru's successors. He completed his Journey to God-realization by following the command of his Guru to take refuge in Bhagawan Nityananda, the Master of our modern-day Siddha lineage. Following the inner command and blessing of Bhagawan Nityananda, he has established an independent, not-for-profit organization to bring Supreme Meditation and the yoga of the Siddhas to seekers everywhere.

Acharya Kedar is a Shaktipat Guru who transmits the power and Grace of his lineage through the full spiritual awakening known as Shaktipat (see experience shares), that He gives in the Supreme Meditation Shaktipat Intensives. The power to do so was bestowed on him by his Master. Acharyaji is a published author and a teacher of Kashmir Shaivism, the Chidakasha Gita of Bhagawan Nityananda, as well as the teachings of Jnaneshwar Maharaj and the Spanda School of Vasuguptacharya. He has initiated many seekers and helped hundreds of people across the world realize their true worth by attaining Inner Peace and acquiring the Bliss of the Self.

Acharyaji
is known for disseminating teachings and spiritual instruction in a compassionate, down-to-earth and often humorous manner, making our practices easy to apply to daily life. Students of Supreme Meditation also learn how to align career, relationships, family, finances and health with the Supreme state that begins to unfold within them as a result of following the teachings and practices of Supreme Meditation.

The word "Kedar" is divided into two syllables, "Ke" and "daar." In the first syllable, "Ke," the "e" is pronounced just like the "a" in "cave." The "d" in the second syllable, "daar," is pronounced like the "th" in "gather" and the "a" in "daar" is a long vowel, pronounced like the "a" in "father."
